Rubber Fender Factory's semi-circular (D) rubber fenders and cylindrical rubber fenders are commonly used fender materials for ships, and are mainly used to protect the contact parts between ships and docks, docks and other structures.
As the name suggests, half-circle (D) rubber fenders are shaped like a half-circle (or "D") with a flat back and a curved front. Fenders are usually made of a durable and resilient rubber material that absorbs the shock of a collision and prevents damage to the boat or structure.
Half round (D) rubber fenders are commonly used on piers and docks, where they are installed horizontally along the length of the dock or dock to protect boats and other vessels as they approach and dock. They can also be used on other marine structures such as abutments or offshore platforms to protect against impact from passing ships and other vessels.
Their main differences are as follows:
1) Shape design: The D-type rubber fender has a semicircular cross-section, and the cylindrical rubber fender has a circular cross-section.
2) Compression resistance: Since the D-type rubber fender has multiple contact surfaces, it can disperse the pressure when absorbing the impact, so the compression resistance is relatively strong; while the cylindrical rubber fender has relatively few contact surfaces, its compression resistance less capable.
3) Buffering effect: D-type rubber fenders have better buffering effects, can provide a larger contact area, and transmit force more smoothly; while cylindrical rubber fenders have poor buffering effects and are easier to rebound.
4) Installation location: Due to the design features of V Type Arch Rubber Fender, it is more suitable for installation on fixed structures such as docks and shipyards; cylindrical rubber fenders are suitable for installation around the hull to protect the contact between the ship and port facilities.
