Something that hasn’t really been stressed so far with the impact engine is the contextual dribble turns, and how player and enemy AI react to those quick moves. In previous EA Sports FC titles, cutting a 45-degree turn to get past a player sometimes led to EA FC 24 Coins collisions based solely on the engine's capabilities rather than the point of contact.. In reality the player could have moved past the defender, but the animation set just didn’t allow it.

Using the new impact engine, the player will now be able to dodge, brush off, or still collide with the defender, dependent on how close they are when they make their move. It also depends on the resilience of the player — meaning that someone like Kaka or Lionel Messi would barrel through his or her defenders than a player who is more prone to “flopping.”

With both the new impact engine and Pro Player Intelligence at their disposal, EA Canada is able to create the most realistic soccer game yet. There might be a few less gameplay features than with previous iterations, but being able to make almost a carbon copy of a TV telecast is very impressive. FC 24 definitely ups the ante for soccer games to come.

Leading up to E3. the Game Rant team put together a pair of lists of our most anticipated confirmed games E3 2022 and our most anticipated rumored games. Several of the rumored games did end up being showcased at the annual Los Angeles event, but were our hopes and anticipation justified? After checking out nearly every single game available at the expo this year, the votes are in and Game Rant has selected the nominees for our Best of E3 2022 Awards.

As soccer game franchises go, it really is hard to top what EA Sports does with EA Sports FC. Though Winning Eleven (now titled Pro Evolution Soccer) made its run for the crown, that challenge only helped EA realize they needed to step up their game. Since then, the developer has consistently been evolving the "futbol" experience in order to add immersion and authenticity. At this year’s E3. Game Rant got some hands-on time with FC 24 to discover what’s new for this year’s iteration and how it stacks up. For complete details read on.

Despite no great need to evolve, especially considering its soccer dominance, there are a few new features seen in FC 24’s gameplay — namely improved precision dribbling, player contact animations, and defensive features. These won’t necessarily blow the lid off the EA Sports FC experience, but when examined closely they work pretty well.

Really, when compared to last year’s iteration, buy EAFC 24 Coins doesn’t necessarily take any big leaps as far as gameplay features are concerned - the animations look better and being able to jockey to contain an offensive player adds a new level of realism, but the core mechanics remain relatively untouched.
