PlayStyles are a new addition to EA Football Club 24, and they are designed to boost the attributes of players based on real-life standout qualities. EA cited the example of Erling Haalnd's acrobatic volley goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League as well as Sam Kerr's trademark finesse shot from outside the box as examples of how the game should be played.
PlayStyle endows players with one-of-a-kind capabilities, and PlayStyle + takes those signature skills to a level that is on par with the best in the world. Because of the new Evolutions feature, cards in Ultimate Team can even pick up new PlayStyles to add to their arsenal. For instance, if a LW fulfills the requirements for the Relentless Winger Evolution, they will receive the Relentless Playstyle as their reward. The following is a ranking of the best PlayStyles in EA Football Club 24 that you should keep an eye out for before you rush off to buy players for your Ultimate Team squad.
Every PlayStyle in EA Football Club 24 was ranked.
EA published a Pitch Notes article on September 21 that analyzes the influence of each different PlayStyle. The blog post compared the content that appears when a player has a particular PlayStyle to the content that appears when they do not have that PlayStyle. This evidence assisted us in determining which PlayStyles are the most effective.
Check out our comprehensive guide that goes over each PlayStyle if you feel like you need a refresher on what each one does before we get started. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we'll get into our picks for the most effective PlayStyles in EA Football Club 24.
Playstyles on the S Tier
The following PlayStyles are considered to be the best in EA Football Club 24.
Long-range pass Power shot Dead ball Power play
The first to touch, the block, the interception
Incisive Cutthrough
Trickster Who Never Gives Up
When using the Power Shot ability, the example provided by EA demonstrates that it is a great deal simpler for a player to score inside the 18-yard box or outside of it. This PlayStyle was given such a high ranking because we anticipate using it quite frequently. The same can be said about Block, which exaggerates one of the most frustrating occurrences in the box by making it more likely that a shot will be blocked.
While this is going on, Dead Ball will lengthen the preview line for free kicks and corners, as well as increase the set piece curve, shot power, and accuracy. Because scoring on free kicks has been one of the most difficult things to do over the course of the past several years, you need to have at least one member of your team equipped with this PlayStyle.
Intercept functions similarly to block in that it makes it simpler for players to step in when a pass is in progress and prevent it from being completed. Because having a high interception attribute is almost always considered meta on CDMs and CBs, it only makes sense that this PlayStyle can also come in handy.
Playstyles for the A-Tier
These PlayStyles are still valuable, but their utility is more contingent on the circumstances than that of the highest-tier options.
Header for Power
The Next Step
The Bruiser
In the Whipped Pass
Be ready for the finesse shot.
Chip Shot with Acrobatics from the Air
First, let's take a look at the move that combines Whipped Pass, Aerial, and Power Header. Crossing is always a viable strategy for creating goals, and these four PlayStyles make it easier than it has ever been for players to implement this tactic. Whipped Pass makes it easier for the striker to get their head on the ball when receiving a cross, while Aerial Header and Power Header make it easier for the striker to receive the cross.
On the defensive side of the ball, Anticipate improves tackle accuracy, which can be game-changing in key situations, and Bruiser makes a player more physical when they go in for a tackle. This PlayStyle is exactly what fans have been waiting for, as there have been complaints about defenders not being strong enough in tackles to prevent breakaways in previous entries of the series, and this PlayStyle is exactly what fans have been waiting for.
Because trivela shots and power shots were so much more effective in FIFA 23, players rarely attempted finesse shots or chip shots. Instead, they focused on trivela shots and power shots. We can finally breathe a sigh of relief now that the Finesse Shot and Trick Shot PlayStyles have been implemented because they make each situational shot type more effective.
Playstyles for B-Tier Games
In the end, these selections come down to a matter of personal preference; however, these PlayStyles are a little bit too situational to be considered any more valuable.
Passage Pinched
Acrobatic Rapid Jockey Slide Tackle Designed for the Tiki Taka Acrobatic
To begin, Tiki Taka and Pinged Pass make short ground passes more accurate and long ground passes more accurate, respectively. Both PlayStyles are excellent for "build-up" play, but they don't offer enough moments that truly differentiate them from one another to merit a higher rating.
We would have ranked Slide Tackle higher if it offered more benefits to aggressive defenders, but it only brings the ball in closer after a slide has been successfully completed. It would have been preferable if the ability increased the efficiency of sliding or the speed at which it could be done.
Jockey improves the maximum speed and transition time of shuffling, going one step further than Slide Tackle, but the action is still too specialized to be prioritized over others.
Playstyles for the C-Tier
Any PlayStyle is an advantage for a player, but some of these abilities, when viewed in the grand scheme of things, don't seem all that impressive on paper.
Technical Press Authoritative
Trivialization of Flair
Long Distance
When playing at a high level, Trivela and Flair will grant you access to Trivela passes and flair animations, but these actions are largely cosmetic and will not affect the outcome of the match. After everything is said and done, Technical may end up moving higher up on our list; however, it is unknown how effective the Controlled sprint type will be in EA FC 24 at this time.
The last benefit of Press Proven is that it makes it simpler for players to block attacks from opponents. However, players will typically avoid using tall, bulky strikers, and it is extremely uncommon to see someone shielding at the top of the box rather than utilizing a skill move to advance toward the goal.
